Math rock. It's what's for breakfast.
Together Breakfast is a Nashville-based instrumental band.
A curious trio of musical styles, Together Breakfast's shimmering, complex melodic riffs (Margot Biever, guitar) aggressive yet laid back grooves (Ian Strobino, drums) and Motown by way of Midwest Emo-inspired low end (Zach Goforth, bass) coalesce into a fresh sound in the math rock community.
All transplants to Music City, the band members have already made names for themselves as go-to players around town. Strobino is a staple in the city’s burgeoning neo soul and jazz scene (The Broomestix, Colin Poulton Trio, East Side Jam House Band). Goforth is the driving rhythm behind local Indie artists (Grenon, Running Late, Emma Driver). Biever has been a one-of-a-kind lead guitarist for the singer-songwriter and queer music scene (Chloe Beth, Lauren Horbal, Laura Clough) and recently opened for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Autumn Nicholas at The Ryman Auditorium.
Their debut five-song EP was produced by Catherine Vericolli, engineered by Grammy winner Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay), and mastered by Grammy nominee Piper Payne (Dolly Parton, Third Eye Blind, Janis Ian).
